Scratch Texture Effect
- Open up a 500px by 500px #000000 canvas.
- Under the "Filters" tab, select "Artistic" and follow with the "Sponge" effect. Your settings and color palette colors should be left at their default settings.
- Once again under the "Filters" tab, select "Brush Strokes" and finally "Splatter." Once again, leave your settings as default.
- Next, under "Filters," select "Texture" and finally "Texturizer." Leave your settings as default.
- On a new layer, use a 1px round brush in #FFFFFF to create a few long lines.
- On the layer you created the brush lines, preform to "Chalk and Charcoal" filter under the "Sketch" category. Do not adjust the settings.
- Under the "Texture" filters category, select the "Patchwork" effect. Leave your settings as default. Adjust your layer opacity to 60%.
- Under the "Noise" category choose to add 20% noise to your lines. Make sure you check off the "Monochromatic" checkbox.
- Duplicate and rotate your scratch layer and set their opacity at 30%.
