Patterned Texture Effect
- Stat by opening up a 700px by 500px #790303 canvas.
- Under the "Filters" tab, select "Texture" and follow with the "Texturizer" effect. Your settings should be left at default.
- Define the following patterns. (Drag into Photoshop and click "Edit" and "Define Pattern Preset".)

- Create a new layer (Layer->New Layer) and select (you can use the Lasso (L) or Magnetic Lasso tool (L + right click and select "Magnetic Lasso Tool")) a section (view screenshot) of the new layer.
- Select the "Paint Bucket Tool" (G + right click and select "Paint Bucket Tool") to fill in the selection with the first pattern. Set this layer on the "Lighten" blend mode and change it's layer styles (Layer->Layer Style) to match mine.
- Repeat steps #4 and #5, but this time select a different portion of the layer and fill it with the second pattern. Your texture should now look like this.
- Now, paste the following stitching (click to view) vertically onto your canvas. Set this layer's Blend Mode to "Screen" and adjust it's layer styles (Layer->Layer Style) to match mine.
- Duplicate your stitching layer a few times (Layer->Duplicate Layer) and randomly pace it on your texture. Mine looks like this.
- Finally, randomly select and copy merged (Edit->Copy Merged) portions of your texture and displace them. You can repeat this step as many times as necessary. I've set all copied layers on the "Lighted" blend mode. I've also rotated (left click + view screenshot) them so they don't seem repeated.
