Grunge Layout Effect

Start with a image of the size you would like your layout to be. I will be using the following:
To add the mauve coloring to my image, I have used the following texture set on "Soft Light" at an 80% layer opacity:
The lines, grains and scratches were obtained with the following texture set on "Multiply." I've used the bottom right hand corner of this texture:
Next, create a new layer and I've used the bottom-left brush from this set of splatter brushes. This layer should be set on "Overlay."
With your Pen Tool at these settings, create a curvy path going horizontally from one side of your image to the other. Click somewhere near the middle section of your path and use the type tool to type what you desire. I've used the font "Orator Std," in #FFFFFF at 14pt. For this I had to click the "Small Caps" selection in the font character window.
Finally I've used a 1px rounded brush in #FFFFFF and drew a random line. You can take a shortcut and use this image if you aren't having look with the last steps.
